Fou Zoo 01 Modern Restaurant Interior Fou Zoo Restaurant Interior Design in Bratislava by SAD Architects

As an exclusive Asian cuisine restaurant, the Fou Zoo defined its design to be distinct against the surrounding housing buildings in Petrzalka. The studio, SAD Architects received the brief from the client to create an interior that is opposite of the exterior. Japanese style is what most used, interpreted by the elements like Zen garden, stones, wood, and other natural materials.

The dominant feature of the interior is organically shaped predstena lining the perimeter walls with all the windows. Predstena is one of the layers of filter between the inside and outside, prevents eye-term outlook for unsightly surroundings and limited penetration of natural light inside the interior. It consists of plywood slats, which are rewound in two axes, shaped the parameters of unwanted transmission of light and vision. Slats give the impression of huge oblong sheet lining the hind otherwise hard orthogonal space.

Two large boulders smoothed in space decorate the interior main compartment. One of the stone used as a place to prepare drinks, including a special section for the tea master, the second block for the preparation of su-shi. The space is complemented by three exotic trees in pots. Each tree is a stream of light illuminated from above and forms the point around which clustered tables restaurant.

Part of the stage lighting is dealt with larger numbers of decent lights randomly dispersed throughout the area of teak ceiling walls and floors. Lighting lighting makes the area a few groups of varying intensity lights. Part of the platform is custom-made monochrome LED screen across one wall. Ambient animations created for this projection, gently but constantly changing ambience of space.

Spaces toilets are located in the back of the restaurant. Entrance hall, toilet consists of a mirror wall lamp Delirium Yum by Ingo Maurer, the whirling effect is multiplied in the mirrors and endlessly fascinating. The toilets on the surface of the walls with alternating black and gloss rigid artificial natural stone with an irregular structure of dark pebbles.

Part of the interior design and furniture, much of which was commissioned for the restaurant. They are tables with concrete slabs of oak legs and proportional seats loungového atypical type, which enables not only loose furniture, but also comfortable eating the food. Significant interior designing was worked with Lucií Kocmanovou graphics.
