From the first, this estate was a beautiful village which located in the middle of the Kali basin. This village is accommodating for about 500 people and it is founded in 1949 for the purpose of an animal husbandry. But as the years passed, the facility had declined and the building had become dilapidated. Finally the estate has changed hands which are meant that the animal husbandry is collapse. The in the coming of the years, the neighboring Almond Farming has took over this estate and become the main activity for this estate.
The building of this estate is revitalized by them then to achieve it; they must tear down some ramshackle buildings and gradually renovated it. The first act that the architect do is the refurbishment of a farming building erected in the 1950s, with the total area is nearly 870 square meters. Then build a residential flats building for the owner and caretaker of the estate. An old storage facility is replaced by the new building construction. Its structure is follow the gable and it is pitched the roof pattern, but it is uses the untraditional materials and detailing. To counterbalance the typical conservative-romantic local style, the architect brings in an agriculture-inspired design details, the wood-covered sliding door and the metal sheet. The creation of the self-sustaining small farm in a few years is intended by the owner itself. The Baron House in Sweden, designed by John Pawson, serves as a model for the family house.
Althought the flats estate is looked simple and minimalist; it has the modern furniture and interior design. The front porch floor of these flat estates is made from the wood. The yard of the estate is decorated by the green grass. Simple, minimalist and beautiful!
