On ebay and all round cyberspace, you can find people getting rich from selling antiques or making arts and crafts to resell. You can find success stories everywhere you look. Who hasn’t heard of that person who found something in their attic that was worth thousands of dollars? Or that person who purchased something at a yard-sale for 5 dollars and resold it on ebay for thousands of dollars. It’s the luck of the draw with antiques sometimes. But is there a better way to make money? Arts and crafts have become popular sellers everywhere. What is better to resell; arts and crafts or antiques?
I have had lots of success with selling antiques and crafts. You definitely hear more about people selling antiques successfully. You can find some really great deals in antiques. The people that want to get rid of antiques usually don’t know anything about it. They just want to get rid of it for various reasons. The best places to buy antiques cheap is your local paper. You can find yard and garage sales there among a few. Flea markets are another great place to find antiques. Your attic or basement may hold a treasure that you don’t even know about. Maybe go clean your parents or grandparents attic and basement for them. Make a deal that you will clean the place up in return for some antiques they don’t want. One year I helped clean my grandfathers cellar and came across a huge baseball card set from the 1940′s- 1960′s. He had no idea where it came from and said I could keep it to resell.
I made over 10 thousand dollars reselling the cards on ebay. Antiques can come in any form, from silverware and china to collectibles and non-collectibles. But unless you are an antique expert, which is very rare these days; you never know what you have until you try and sell it. For the most part, an antique worth $1.00 could sell for hundreds or thousands of dollars, just because that person wanted it. There is almost no price on an antique item someone really wants. People may want that item specifically because it’s old, original, or one of a kind. There are tons of one of a kind or limited edition antiques, that are worth tons of money or have lots of interest. So buy up those antiques you can buy for cheap and resell them for lots of dough.
